5 week Ayurveda Education Series at Daya

 

Week I   (1.5 to 2 hours)

Introduction and overview of Ayurveda: how Ayurveda differs from the allopathic approaches of Western medicine and other approaches, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Naturopathy.

Three pillars of health according to Ayurveda:  Proper exercise, proper routine, proper diet.

Setting the stage for self knowledge for everyone, teachers and participants.

The external world is a reflection of inner world.

Week II 1.5 to 2 hours

Discussion of homework and questions

Introduction to self pulse diagnosis

Homework:  Take pulse daily:  keep a log, rate, time of day, how you feel

 

Week III (2 to 3 hours)
This will be done is small groups of 2 or 3, time TBA

Using the biofeedback of HR and HR variability,

explore what this means as related to the three pillars of health according to Ayurveda:  Proper exercise, proper routine, proper diet.

 

Week IV  (1.5 to 2 hours)

Continuation of exercise training
